2.4. Discount codes section
The Discount Codes section allows you to add discount codes to your events and training courses in RubiCRM.
Key points about discount codes:
- Discount codes are not universal; they are only valid for the specific event or training course to which they have been added.
- They operate as a percentage discount on the original price.
- You can control usage limits: once per contact, once per company, or unlimited uses.
Adding a Discount Code
Click “Add New” (+) Discount Code to open the pop-up with the following fields:
- Discount Code – The code itself, which can include letters, numbers, or special characters.
- Percentage – The percentage discount applied. For example, if the price is £100 and the discount is 25%, the final price will be £75.
- Expiry Date – The date until which the discount code is valid.
- Use On Web – Tick this if you want the code to be usable on your web integration (your integration must support discount codes).
- Usage – Set whether the code can be used once per contact, once per company, or unlimited times.
- Internal Notes – Notes for internal staff use only.
- Membership Status – Limit the code to specific membership statuses. Leave blank to make it available to all statuses.
- Membership Type – Limit the code to specific membership types. Leave blank to make it available to all types.

Tracking Discount Code Usage
You can see whether a user has used a discount code by checking the event booking grid, specifically the following columns:
Discount Applied – Displays True or False.
Discount Code Used – Shows the code applied by the user.
